We believe music is a vital part of the local church
service and is an essential part of worship (2 Chron. 5:13; Eph. 5:19; Heb.
2:12; Rev. 5:8-14).
We believe true worship is a spiritual exercise of
the heart that should glorify God (John 4:24).
We know by experience
that music is a powerful tool for communicating a message and it also has an
incredible power to move hearts. Therefore, Heritage Baptist Church shall
strive to select music that is theologically accurate and musically excellent
in an effort to glorify God and draw the hearts and minds of the congregation
God-ward (Eph. 5:19; Phil. 1:10; Col. 3:16). |
