| HISTORY |

Hamilton Acres Baptist Church (HABC) of Fairbanks,
AK, had a vision to plant a church in Anchorage. In obedience to God's word, it
sought to begin a church that would share the good news of salvation through
Jesus alone and also maintain allegiance to the core values of HABC.
In
January 2005, Heritage Baptist Fellowship (HBF) began meeting in Anchorage
under the supervision of HABC. Since then, Heritage Baptist Fellowship has been
meeting regularly on Sunday mornings in the Moose Federation building located
at 11701 Brayton Dr., Anchorage, AK 99516. Pastor Dennis Herkstroeter
generously commuted to fill our pulpit until September 2005, when the church
body unanimously voted to call Pastor James Haning as our first pastor.
We have greatly appreciated the leadership and spiritual guidance of
Pastor Haning over the last few years.
On New Years Eve, 2006 we met
for the first time at our new location just off of the Old Seward Hwy. The new
facility is truely a gift from God and we sincerely hope to use it to further
spread the Gospel in Anchorage.
